최태원 SK그룹 회장이 대통령 특사 자격으로 유럽 3개국(스페인, 덴마크, 포르투갈)을 방문하여 풍력터빈, 친환경 에너지 투자운용사 등과 협력하여 에너지 사업에 대해 논의하였습니다. 최 회장은 덴마크 베스타스와 해상풍력 분야 협력을 확대하고, 베트남 등 동남아시아 지역으로 함께 진출하며, 수전해기술(물 전기분해)을 이용한 그린수소 개발과 판매에서도 협력을 제안하였습니다. 또한, CIP(코펜하겐 인프라스트럭처 파트너스)와도 만나 에너지 저장시스템(ESS), 소형모듈 원전(SMR) 등 친환경 에너지 분야 전반에 걸쳐 협력 방안을 논의하였습니다. 최 회장은 이와 함께 2030 부산 세계박람회(엑스포) 유치 지원 활동도 펼쳤습니다.
SK Group Chairman, Chey Tae-on, visited three European countries, Spain, Denmark, and Portugal, as a presidential envoy to discuss energy business cooperation.
On February 2, he met with the CEO of Danish wind turbine manufacturer, Vestas, to discuss expanding cooperation in offshore wind power in Southeast Asia and green hydrogen development and sales using water electrolysis technology. On the same day, he also met with the CEO of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) to discuss cooperation in offshore wind power, energy storage systems, hydrogen, and small modular reactors. He suggested discussing joint investment and development in floating offshore wind power and green hydrogen production and export through stable offshore wind power. Finally, he met with the CEO of Galp, a Portuguese energy company, to expand cooperation in offshore wind power, lithium refining, biofuel development, and electric vehicle charging facilities. During his visit, Chairman Chey also supported the bid for Busan's 2030 World Expo.
