글로벌 풍력타워 업체 씨에스윈드가 베트남 법인의 해상 풍력타워 생산시설을 증설하여 전 세계적인 해상 풍력 수요에 대응했다. 13일 오전에는 베트남 푸미 소재의 생산법인에서 증설된 해상 풍력타워 생산공장의 준공식 및 설립 20주년 기념행사가 진행되었다. 이 행사에는 씨에스윈드의 김성권 회장뿐만 아니라 매터릭 홀거 지멘스 가메사 타워 부문장, 헨릭 앤더슨 베스타스 CEO 등이 참석했다.

 

 

생산 라인은 4개, 4월 부터 가동, 풀 가동시 2천 억원 매출

 

이번 증설은 2022년에 체결된 3조8000억원 규모의 해상 풍력타워 공급계약을 바탕으로 추진되었다. 작업은 지난해 4월에 시작되어 이번 3월에 완료되었으며, 생산 가동은 올 하반기에 본격화될 예정이다.

베트남 법인의 증설로 연간 36만톤의 육·해상 풍력타워 생산 역량이 확보되었으며, 생산 가능한 해상 풍력타워 직경도 8m에서 10m로 확대되었다. 씨에스윈드는 베트남 법인을 출발로 유럽 및 아시아 해상 풍력 수요 급증에 대응할 계획이다.

베트남 법인 뿐만 아니라 지난해 1월에 시작된 포르투갈 법인의 해상 풍력타워 생산시설은 올 상반기에 준공 및 가동 예정이다.

김 회장은 "씨에스윈드의 첫 출발지인 베트남 법인은 설립 20주년을 맞아 생산시설 증설을 완료했다"며 "이번 증설을 계기로 해상 풍력 산업을 주도하고 시장 지위를 높이기 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

 

 

 

 

CS Wind Completes Expansion of Offshore Wind Tower Facility in Vietnam to Meet Global Demand

Global wind tower manufacturer CS Wind has completed the expansion of its offshore wind tower production facility in Vietnam to address the increasing demand for offshore wind towers worldwide. On the morning of the 13th, a ceremony commemorating the completion of the expansion and the establishment of the 20th anniversary of the production plant in Phu My, Vietnam, was held. The event was attended by CS Wind Chairman Kim Sung-kwon, as well as Materic Holger, Head of Siemens Gamesa Tower Division, and Henrik Andersen, CEO of Vestas.

This expansion was driven by a ₩3.8 trillion contract signed with Siemens Gamesa in 2022. The project, which commenced in April last year, was completed in March this year, with full-scale production expected to commence in the latter half of this year.

With the completion of the expansion, the Vietnam facility now has an annual production capacity of 360,000 tons of onshore and offshore wind towers. The production capability for offshore wind towers has also been increased from 8m to 10m in diameter. CS Wind plans to leverage its Vietnam facility to address the growing demand for offshore wind towers in Europe and Asia.

In addition to the Vietnam facility, the offshore wind tower production facility of the Portugal subsidiary, which commenced expansion in January last year, is scheduled to be completed and operational in the first half of this year.

Chairman Kim stated, "CS Wind's first foothold in Vietnam has completed the expansion of its production facility in line with its 20th anniversary," and added, "We will strive to lead the offshore wind industry and enhance our market position with this expansion."
